Davenant Community Choir was formed over 15 years ago as part of the School's Performing Arts outreach programme as a way to bridge the gap between the school and the community. Originally made up of parents, teachers and enthusiastic, inexperienced singers, the choir, under the direction of Peter Crowe, soon  developed into a 30 strong group who performed regularly at local venues and in school productions.

Fru Chilvers, the current Musical Director is always keen to invigorate the membership with new parents and is inviting you to come along and have a go!

THERE ARE NO AUDITIONS! We only ask for enthusiasm and a reasonable amount of commitment
. The emphasis is on singing for pleasure but we work hard to produce an end result that we are proud of.

We usually work towards a concert at the end of each term.

Repertoire is varied and includes gospel, classical, pop and folk. We also learn some pieces without music.

We meet at the school every Thursday from 7pm-9pm.
Fees are paid termly in advance but you won't be expected to pay until you make a commitment to join.
